My name is Sonji Allen, and I have dedicated 19 years to the field of education. I bring a wealth of experience in leadership, curriculum development, and data analysis. Over the years, I've thrived as a classroom teacher, lead teacher, and professional learning and growth leader. In the classroom, I implemented innovative teaching strategies that significantly improved student performance and engagement.

 

As a lead teacher, I mentored my colleagues, guiding them through their daily tasks with ease; lesson planning, small group instructions, data analysis, implementing standards with best practice strategies, and instructional delivery. In my role as a professional learning and growth leader, I facilitated numerous professional development workshops, tailored them for the specific need of the teacher. I empowered educators with the skills to enhance their pedagogy and adopt the best practices in teaching.

Drawing from the many successful years of teaching and mentoring, I founded The Teacher Companion. This venture is dedicated to assisting new teachers across the world by providing personalized support, practical solutions, and valuable insights to improve the teaching and learning experience. My focus is on empowering educators to become exceptional teachers throughout their tenure. Fostering professional growth and development for educators allows them to reach their full potential confidently and with ease.
